Gin de Cologne Rosé Mini. Fruity gin with raspberries, blueberries, and strawberries in a 100 ml bottle, 42% ABV – for sampling and gifting.
Gin de Cologne Rosé Mini is the pink gin from Cologne in a 100 ml bottle: Gin de Cologne, refined with raspberries, blueberries, and strawberries, 15 botanicals, 42% ABV. Handcrafted in Cologne-Ehrenfeld, mild, refreshing, and berry-fruity. Contains coloring.
The Rosé Mini is a fruity gin for your pocket. It brings the berry side of Gin de Cologne into a small 100 ml bottle that is easy to gift, ship, and sample. Legally, a gin must have at least 37.5% ABV and taste of juniper. This one has 42% ABV. The Mini is very popular with us. It’s small enough for a "thank you" and pink enough for a smile. And it shows you what’s happening in the glass before you buy 500 ml.
Taste: berry-fruity, mild, and subtle
The producer describes the Rosé as zesty with lime, mild, refreshing, and summery. Added to this is the fruitiness of raspberries, blueberries, and strawberries, which is layered onto the classic’s citrus-juniper foundation. The gin contains a total of 15 botanicals.
The classic's botanical set remains the base: peels of lemon, orange, and lime, lavender and hibiscus blossoms, and juniper—handcrafted, according to the producer. The three berries are added on top, giving the gin its fruity side.
As a mini, it holds up well in a comparison: you can place it next to the classic and taste what the berries change. Those who love fruit notes will find in the Rosé a variety that sounds like summer rather than liqueur. It remains a gin, with 42% ABV and the freshness of citrus. The color is a delicate rosé; note that it contains coloring.
Usage: two Rosé Gin & Tonics from one small bottle
The 100 ml bottle is enough for two drinks. The producer’s recipe: 4 cl Rosé, 16 cl Mediterranean tonic water, berry garnish, and three ice cubes. This gives you 20 cl of long drink per glass, with 2 cl left over after two rounds. You can enjoy this remainder chilled on its own or pour it over a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
With a handful of berries from the fridge, the garnish quickly becomes an eye-catcher. Raspberries and strawberry slices sit on top of the ice; a few blueberries sink to the bottom. If you prefer sparkling wine to tonic, mix 4 cl of Rosé with 10 cl of dry sparkling wine and a raspberry for a small "sparkler." For that, you only need one bottle of sparkling wine and the Mini.
You can also make a Rosé Lemonade for two people: shake 2 × 4 cl Rosé, 2 × 2 cl lemon juice, and 2 × 1 cl sugar syrup over ice, pour into two glasses, and top with soda water. Half a strawberry on the rim makes the drink perfect for a picnic basket, provided you keep the ingredients chilled and fill the glasses on site.
Alcohol is strictly for adults 18 and over. The Mini is therefore a gift for adults that you can easily present together with a bottle of tonic.
Anyone serving the Rosé in a clear glass will see immediately why it makes for a conversation starter. A Rosé Gin & Tonic pairs well with a piece of berry cake or a bowl of strawberries in the afternoon because fruit meets fruit. If that’s not your style, use a lemon slice instead of berries and let the fruit in the gin speak for itself.
Our tip: Put the Mini in the fridge for half an hour before opening. A chilled gin makes the ice in the glass melt more slowly, and the drink stays cold longer.
Origin: pink gin from Cologne, bottled as a souvenir
The Rosé comes from Cologne Spirits GmbH in Cologne, Bonner Straße 205. It traces back to Abbass Khatami, who launched his own gin in 2017 using his experience from an advertising agency for beverage brands. Ehrenfeld in Cologne is where the gin is handcrafted.
Every 100 ml Mini of the brand is intended to be a Cologne souvenir. The Rosé Mini is thus the colorful version of the small keepsake. It sits on the shelf at home after a visit to Cologne and comes out on the table the next time friends visit. The classic has over 12 botanicals; the Rosé has 15. You can taste the difference if you open both Minis side-by-side. If you want the large bottle, you can find it as Gin de Cologne Rosé (500 ml).
For whom: berry fans, the curious, and collectors of small bottles
The Rosé Mini is for anyone who wants to get to know a fruity gin first. It fits into a gift package, as a Secret Santa gift, or as an accompaniment to a bouquet of flowers. It fits into any backpack for a trip to the Rhine. Together with the Orange Mini and the classic Mini, you create a small trio for comparing that you can assemble yourself: the three bottles barely take up any space on the shelf. It’s also a great idea as a thank you for hosts or a small gift for colleagues, as the bottle takes up little space and still looks like something special. If you like to compare, pick up the Mini with the classic gin as well and drink both one after the other.
Both bottles together are also available as a double gift box with 2 × 100 ml in a gift box with a Cologne motif. Further varieties can be found on the Gin de Cologne page.
The Rosé Mini is not suitable for those looking for a tart, juniper-forward gin or those who wish to avoid food coloring. The small bottle is also too little for a long evening with many guests.
