Taste: two varieties, one starting point
The Classic is a London Dry Gin with over 12 botanicals. These include peels of lemons, oranges, and limes, lavender and hibiscus blossoms, and juniper. The manufacturer describes it as lime-forward, zesty, mild, and refreshing. It is intentionally crafted not to be bitter.
The Rosé starts with the same gin and is refined with raspberries, blueberries, and strawberries, resulting in 15 botanicals. According to the manufacturer, it is mild, refreshing, summery, and berry-fruity. The Rosé bears the note "contains coloring."
Usage: two bottles, two Gin & Tonics, a gathering of guests
With 4 cl per drink, you get about twelve Gin & Tonics from each bottle. The Classic is served with 16 cl of tonic, a wedge of lime, and three ice cubes. For the Rosé, use 16 cl of Mediterranean tonic, a berry garnish, and three ice cubes. Both recipes follow a 1:4 ratio. When guests arrive, place both bottles on the table with ice, tonic, limes, and berries, and let everyone choose their variety.
For a duo in a glass, combine 2 cl of Classic and 2 cl of Rosé with 16 cl of tonic. Mix 10 cl of dry sparkling wine with 4 cl of Rosé to create a Sparkler, or 5 cl of Classic, 2 cl of lime juice, and 1.5 cl of sugar syrup for a Gimlet. For both gins, the following applies: must be 18 or older; therefore, the box is for adults only.
Our tip: Prepare two garnishes for your guests: lime slices for the Classic, and raspberries and strawberry slices for the Rosé. This makes each drink visually distinct in the glass.
Origin: two gins from the same Cologne craftsmanship
Both varieties come from Cologne Spirits GmbH in Cologne, Bonner Straße 205. Founded in 2017, the company traces back to Abbass Khatami, who previously worked with his advertising agency for beverage brands. The gin is handcrafted in Cologne-Ehrenfeld.
The presentation box with the Cologne motif holds both bottles together. When you open the box, you see the varieties side by side: clear on one side, pink on the other.
