apros Vermouth gift box - for discovery or gifting: All three varieties in 100ml bottles, presented in a high-quality gift box.

Red Vermouth: Pinot Noir from the Kaiserstuhl, aged in large wooden barrels and barriques, selected by Johannes von Gleichenstein, with rounded tannins and fruity aromas of local cherry. Refined with the fruity citrus notes of bergamot, cardamom, and cinnamon, as well as a distinct note of lavender. Luminous ruby red in color. On the palate, clearly reminiscent of Pinot Noir, with fruity-floral hints and a very fine bitter note.

White Vermouth: Pinot Gris from the Kaiserstuhl, selected by Johannes von Gleichenstein, with aromas of sugar melon, sweet pear, and mirabelle plum. Refined with fresh nuances of bergamot, the subtle fennel aroma of spignel, and the fruity-tart apple note of chamomile. A rich golden yellow in color. On the palate, powerful yet fresh with the typical bitter note of wormwood.

Rosé Vermouth: A cuvée of Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir from the Kaiserstuhl, selected by Johannes von Gleichenstein, with a sophisticated interplay of acidity and sweetness. Refined with the mild, fruity aroma of "pink pepper," sweet-tart angelica root, and rosemary. A vibrant rosé typical of Burgundy in color. On the palate, bitter orange, subtle spice and heat, and delicate bitter notes on the finish.

apros Vermouth

Wein vom Kaiserstuhl, Wermut aus dem Schwarzwald

apros nennt sich „Wermut aus Freiburg im Schwarzwald“, die apros.com GmbH sitzt in Wittnau. Der Name stammt aus dem Lateinischen und steht für Schwarzwild, die ursprünglichen Bewohner des Schwarzwalds. Das Leitmotiv der Marke lautet „weniger ist mehr“, ihr Anspruch: apros Vermouth muss vor allem pur schmecken.

Winzer, Gastronom und Brennerei

Johannes von Gleichenstein führt das Weingut Freiherr von Gleichenstein am Kaiserstuhl in neunter Generation. Er wählt Rebsorten und Weine aus, alle vom Kaiserstuhl: Pinot Gris für den White, Pinot Gris und Pinot Noir für den Rosé, Pinot Noir für den Red. Achim Berger, ein weitgereister Gastronom und früher Restaurantdirektor in Chicago, Dubai und Bangkok, hat als Head of Taste das Geschmacksbild vorgegeben. Für Botanicals und Mazeration arbeitet apros mit Hansjörg Weis und Alexander Hess von der Elztalbrennerei Weis in Gutach im Breisgau zusammen. Dort wird ein Teil des weißen Grundweins zu Weindestillat gebrannt, die Botanicals werden darin angesetzt und das Mazerat mit dem Grundwein vermählt.

Den White Vermouth aus Pinot Gris mit Bergamotte, Zitronenschale, Kamille und Bärwurz, 18 % vol, in der 750-ml-Flasche. Gut gekühlt auf Eis oder als Vermouth & Tonic zeigt er, was die Marke meint. Abgabe nur an Personen ab 16 Jahren.
