Jörg Geiger Prisecco Tasting Pack Classics non-alcoholic is a tasting pack with six 750 ml bottles from the Jörg Geiger manufactory in Schlat at the foot of the Swabian Alb: two bottles of Weißduftig (White Fragrant), two of Rotfruchtig (Red Fruity), and one each of Apfelsinfonie (Apple Symphony) and Rosenzauber (Rose Magic), all with 0.0% alcohol. Not a Prosecco, not a sparkling wine – four sparkling compositions made from the juice of meadow orchard fruit.

Prisecco Tasting Pack Classics by Jörg Geiger bundles the four varieties considered the classics of the PriSecco brand by the manufactory. PriSecco is a registered trademark and stands for non-alcoholic, sparkling compositions based on fruit juices from Swabian meadow orchard fruit, refined with herbs, blossoms, and spices, and with added carbonation. Because everything is juice-based, the alcohol content is 0.0% according to the manufacturer. The pack contains six bottles: two each of Weißduftig and Rotfruchtig, and one each of Apfelsinfonie and Rosenzauber. This allows you to taste your way through the classics, from light and herbaceous to dark berry, and have enough of the two aperitif varieties for an evening with guests.

Taste

Four bottles, four unique styles: Each variety has its own character, with all sharing a base of apple juice from traditional meadow orchards.

The PriSecco Weißduftig is the light, herbaceous type. On the nose, it offers spicy herbs and elderflower, while on the palate, there is the soft sweetness of apple, pear, grape, and peach. Lemon verbena and ginger lead into a spicy finish. The PriSecco Rotfruchtig is the original PriSecco from 2003. It has a dark berry flavor reminiscent of sour cherry, black currant, and elderberry, with invigorating acidity and the slight tartness of quince and lime.

The PriSecco Apfelsinfonie focuses almost entirely on the apple: 93 percent apple juice, fully ripe and acidity-driven, with fine caramel notes and a subtly pungent finish from mustard. The PriSecco Rosenzauber is fragrant with rose, raspberry, and chocolate mint. The acidity of the Boskoop apple keeps it fresh, while the core is spicy with an oriental note. Please note: The Apfelsinfonie contains mustard.

Usage

The manufactory recommends enjoying all four varieties well-chilled at 8 to 10 °C in a sparkling wine glass. Each has its own place at the table.

Weißduftig is a robust aperitif, also great over ice, and pairs well with fresh goat cheese with rosemary or desserts featuring elderflower. Rotfruchtig is a great companion for game with cranberries and dark chocolate forest berry desserts. Apfelsinfonie pairs perfectly with curry containing fresh cilantro and with fried or smoked fish. Jörg Geiger recommends Rosenzauber for tabbouleh with mint, lamb with couscous and raisins, and chocolate raspberry tartlets.

With six bottles, you can accompany an entire menu: Weißduftig for the reception, Apfelsinfonie for the appetizer with fish, Rotfruchtig for the main course, and Rosenzauber for dessert. According to the manufacturer, the unopened bottles have a shelf life of at least 24 months.

Origin

All four classics come from the Jörg Geiger manufactory in Schlat at the foot of the Swabian Alb. Jörg Geiger is a trained chef who took over his parents' inn, the Lamm, in 1997 at the age of 22. In 1998, he began working with the "Champagner Bratbirne" (pear variety), and in 2003, he bottled the first PriSecco, the Rotfruchtig. In 2005, at the request of the catering industry, Weißduftig was added, and in 2007, PriSecco was registered as a brand.

The raw material is Swabian meadow orchard fruit: old, often tart apple and pear varieties from local traditional orchards, supplied by farmers from the surrounding area. The manufactory uses seedling apples for the Apfelsinfonie and the Boskoop variety for the Rosenzauber. Every step from delivery to bottling takes place in the manufactory.
