Dr. Jaglas is an expert in bitters and has been creating herbal elixirs for decades. The basis for these is a traditional monastic recipe. The ratio of the individual ingredients is perfectly balanced, ensuring intense drinking pleasure even in the non-alcoholic San Limello version. Christina leads the family-run manufactory with heart and soul. On the occasion of Dry January, she recommends San Limello as a spritz.
Christina, why do you personally enjoy going without alcohol sometimes, and what benefits do you experience?
For me, non-alcoholic alternatives are not a sacrifice. Most of the time, you don't even notice whether a drink contains alcohol or not. We apply our motto, Intoxicated by pleasure, by being, and by the moment, to our non-alcoholic herbal elixirs just the same. Dr. Jaglas Limoncello stands for a new aperitif culture.
What makes your non-alcoholic San Limello a special taste experience?
This lemon aperitif is a non-alcoholic alternative to a classic Limoncello. Sun-ripened lemons give the elixir a fresh acidity. Ginger, thyme, grapefruit, honey, cinnamon, fennel, and chili combine to create a balanced aroma. Its intense yellow color is reminiscent of sunny hours in Sicily at any time of year.
Which San Limello cocktail do you recommend for Dry January?
Dr. Jaglas San Limello brings the "Dolce Vita" feeling into your glass. With its intense aroma, our drink is best enjoyed as a spritz variation with non-alcoholic Prosecco or tonic water. Mint or rosemary make for a suitable garnish. The aperitif harmonizes excellently with fruit, nuts, or seafood.
